MP Akbokon Tashtanbekov proposed to register small ponds and lease them out for fishery development. Many fisheries now operate illegally, and ponds are leased by local authorities, but they are not on the state's balance sheet. Tashtanbekov suggested making ponds real estate to legalise fisheries.
MP Marat Murataliyev raised the problem of increasing the tariff for irrigation water. He said that farmers complain about high prices, because they often irrigate fields several times, and according to the new tariff they will have to pay more.
Committee Chairman Amankan Kenzhebayev and MP Balbak Tulobayev also criticised the Ministry of Water Resources for the lack of a unified tariff for irrigation water and inefficient work in this matter.
