The China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway Project Company has paid over 15 million KGS in taxes

China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway Company LLC, established to implement one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region, has already paid over 15.2 million KGS in taxes and compulsory contributions to the budget.

According to open budget data, in 2025 the company paid 11.5 million KGS, including income tax, contributions to the Social Fund and other mandatory payments.

Payments continue in 2026: in the first few months, the company has already transferred a further 3.7 million KGS.

The main part of the payments consists of:

  • income tax;
  • insurance contributions and contributions to the Social Fund;
  • state pension savings contributions.

The company’s founders are:

  • Kyrgyz Temir Jolu;
  • Uzbekistan Temir Yullari;
  • the Chinese company Beijing China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company Limited.

The China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project is considered strategic for the region: it is intended to link the transport corridors of China and Central Asia and strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s transit potential.

Against the backdrop of preparations for the project’s implementation, the company’s tax payments indicate that the entity is already conducting operational activities and laying the groundwork for further construction.
