The largest cement plant in the Chui Region is set to begin trial operations as early as October

The trial run of the Z Cement plant in the Kemin District is set to take place as early as October. This was announced by Elkinbek Ashirbaev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic’s authorised representative in the Chui Region, as part of the ‘Open Office’ project.

According to him, the plant will be one of the region’s largest investment projects and, once operating at full capacity, will be able to produce up to 1.5 million tonnes of cement per year.

Ashirbaev noted that projects are also underway in the region to build logistics centres, manufacture buses and specialised vehicles, and develop tourism infrastructure. Taken together, these projects are expected to create around 20–25 thousand jobs.
