01/12/2026, 16:24According to the results of 2024, the gap between the highest and lowest salaries in the Kyrgyz economy exceeded three times the level, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.
The highest incomes were recorded in the financial intermediation and insurance sector — 71,973 KGS per month. Information and communications are at almost the same level, with an indicator of 64,126 KGS.
For comparison, the average salary in the economy is 36,047 KGS.
In mining, workers earn an average of 57,865 KGS, in manufacturing — 49,230 KGS, and in energy — 51,713 KGS.
Transport and storage of goods remain at an average level of 46,670 KGS, public administration and defence at 47,948 KGS, and professional, scientific and technical activities at 42,349 KGS.
At the bottom of the salary scale are social and service industries. In education, the average salary is 25,786 KGS. In healthcare and social services, it is 23,353 KGS. In agriculture, it is 24,562 KGS.
The lowest incomes are recorded in the arts, entertainment and recreation sector — 22,586 KGS.
Thus, in 2024, a financial sector employee will earn on average 3.2 times more than a cultural sector employee and almost three times more than a healthcare worker.
