The highest concentration of patent holders is traditionally found in Bishkek. Over the nine months, 142,700 patents worth 354.1 million KGS were issued in the capital, which is almost twice as much as in any other region and provides the capital with about half of all patent revenues in the country.
Within the city, the distribution of patents remains uneven. The largest number of patents were issued in the Pervomaisky district — over 48,300 for 90 million KGS. At the same time, the most “expensive” patents were in the Leninsky and Sverdlovsky districts. In the Leninsky district, despite the smallest number of patents issued — just over 21,000 — their total value reached 80.8 million KGS. In the Sverdlovsky district, 43,400 patents were issued for 114.3 million KGS.
In the Oktyabrsky district, about 30,000 patents were registered for a total of 68.9 million KGS.
Thus, the average cost of a patent in the capital's districts is as follows:
Outside the capital, the Chui region ranks second in terms of the number of patents issued — 48,763 patents worth 100.17 million KGS. The third position is held by the Jalal-Abad region, where 40,235 patents were issued for 65.8 million KGS.
