The resort in Zhyrgalan will be designed by the company that worked on the Sochi Olympic venues

“Ala-Too Resort” has signed a contract with the Russian company NIPI “Ingzashchita” to develop design documentation for the construction of a ski resort in Zhyrgalan. The agreement was signed on May 15.

Under the contract, the contractor will design the ski slopes as well as all the associated infrastructure for the future resort—including tourism, engineering, and operational facilities. In addition, the company will provide design supervision for the project’s implementation.

According to the company, the design will be carried out in accordance with international safety standards and modern engineering solutions used at world-class ski resorts.

NIPI “Ingzashchita” specializes in high-altitude construction and has previously participated in the design of infrastructure for well-known Russian ski resorts, including “Krasnaya Polyana,” “Rosa Khutor,” and “Manzherok.”

It was at the facilities in Sochi that the 2014 Winter Olympic Games were held, which effectively makes the company one of the designers of Olympic-level infrastructure.

Ala-Too Resort expects that engaging a contractor with such experience will enable the creation of a modern ski cluster in Zhyrgalan, geared not only toward domestic tourism but also toward foreign tourists.

It should be noted that NIPI “Ingzashchita” was founded in 1999 and specializes in designing facilities in challenging mountainous conditions, implementing modern technologies in the field of high-altitude construction and engineering protection.
