06/24/2025, 09:22A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Bishkek between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and a number of Korean companies—EVSIS, the Korean Association of Eco-Friendly Vehicles, and NGS. The document provides for the implementation of a joint project to create a modern infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in the capital.
On the Kyrgyz side, the memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sanzhar Bolotov.
The project covers several key areas:
Education will also be an important component. Korean partners have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the Kyrgyz State Technical University. Internship and technical training programs for students are planned, which will help build a human resource base and establish cooperation between industry and academia.
The project opens up new prospects for the sustainable development of urban transport and could become a starting point for the wider introduction of green technologies in Kyrgyzstan.
