Integration as a response to challenges: Kyrgyzstan outlines priorities for industrial cooperation at SPIEF

First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev spoke at the session “Synergy of the Real Sector of the EAEU Economy as a Response to Modern Challenges,” held as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The discussion was structured as a free-flowing conversation and brought together key representatives of the Union member states.

In his speech, Amangeldiev emphasized that the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Union was an opportunity to assess what had been achieved and to develop a new agenda. He noted that over the past decade, industrial production in the EAEU has grown by almost a third (+29.1%), and agricultural production by 25.5%, demonstrating the high potential for integration in the real sector.

Speaking about the prospects, the Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister outlined the development priorities, including: industrial cooperation, interaction in the agro-industrial complex and machine building, the launch of joint digital and logistics projects, as well as the promotion of green energy and innovative developments.

He placed particular emphasis on scientific and technical cooperation.

“We need to cooperate not only in industry, but also in the scientific sphere — this will strengthen the Union's integration base,” Amangeldiev said.

He stressed that digitalization should become a platform for the new industrial transformation of the EAEU. According to him, only the close integration of digital solutions can ensure sustainable development and increase the effectiveness of interaction between countries.

The session, moderated by EEC Board member Gohar Barseghyan, also brought together Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, EEC Board Chairman Bakytzhan Sagintayev, and business representatives, including from Transmashholding and VEB.RF.
