04/13/2026, 16:47On the instructions of President Sadyr Zhaparov, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services is carrying out work to refurbish the Kyrgyz National Complex ‘Manas-Ordo’ in the Talas Region.
The construction work is being supervised by the state-owned enterprise ‘Kyrgyzkurulush’.
To date, the walls of the administrative building, a gallery with a retail and leisure area, buildings for ceremonies, as well as a conference hall and cottages have been erected.
According to the project, the complex will feature an administrative centre, a 300-seat conference hall, cottages incorporating elements of national architecture, summer and winter kitchens, as well as venues for ceremonial events. In addition, a gallery with a retail and leisure area and a cultural and community events centre with 3,500 seats will be created.
The total area of the Manas-Ordo complex is 225 hectares. As part of the project, the area of the museum building will be increased from 450 to 1,500 square metres, where the distinctive features of Kyrgyz culture will be reflected in a contemporary and national style.
The complex is undergoing its first major refurbishment in the last 30 years.
