07/16/2025, 09:15The State Tax Service has announced that the introduction of mandatory labelling for packaged water, including mineral and carbonated water, has been postponed until 1 January 2026.
The decision was made in response to numerous requests from businesses. Company representatives expressed concern that introducing labelling in the middle of the high demand season could cause disruptions in production and imports. The delay is intended to reduce risks to the market and give businesses more time to prepare.
Until 1 January 2026, manufacturers, suppliers and importers will be able to continue selling water without registration and control marks, and no penalties will be imposed.
It should be recalled that mandatory labelling was originally planned to start on 15 July this year in accordance with a cabinet of ministers' decree dated 1 July.
