The median salary in Kyrgyzstan stood at 46,200 KGS — a 7.5 per cent decrease over the year

The median salary on offer in Kyrgyzstan in the second quarter of 2026 stood at 46,280 KGS, which is 7.5 per cent lower than last year’s figure. The highest salary offers were recorded in Jalal-Abad, Bishkek and Osh. These figures were provided by HeadHunter Central Asia in a new study.

According to the study, the highest median salary offer among Kyrgyz cities was recorded in Jalal-Abad — 60,000 KGS (+9.1% year-on-year). In Bishkek, the figure stood at 58,300 KGS (+1.4 per cent), and in Osh — 55,300 KGS (+0.5 per cent).

Salary growth was also recorded in Tokmok — up to 51,786 KGS (+21.8 per cent), in Kara-Balta – to 50,000 KGS (+11.1 per cent), in Kadamzhay – to 45,086 KGS (+13.4 per cent) and in Sokuluk – to 45,000 KGS (+5.9 per cent).

A decline in median salaries was observed in Kant, where the figure fell by 15.4 per cent to 55,000 KGS, in Karakol — by 8.3 per cent to 55,000 KGS — and in Balykchy — by 7.4 per cent to 46,402 KGS.

Among the sectors, the highest salary offers remain in senior and middle management – 90,000 KGS. These are followed by the automotive sector – 66,296 KGS, and marketing, advertising and PR – 58,830 KGS.

The lowest median offers were recorded in the security sector – 22,500 KGS, insurance – 35,000 KGS, and among domestic staff – 40,542 KGS.
