The first electric buses will arrive in the capital as early as June

The mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, inspected the progress of infrastructure construction at Depot-1 and Depot-2.

Currently, the territory of the two depots is being prepared to accommodate new electric buses and equipped with modern electric charging equipment.

The contractor, China Road and Bridge Corporation, has been issued a warning for failing to meet the deadlines for the repair work. An official letter has been sent to the company reminding it of the penalties provided for in the contract.

The first batch of electric buses will arrive in June 2025.

The relevant city services have been tasked with tidying up the surrounding area and carrying out improvement works. Following the inspection, the head of the capital instructed that the quality of the work carried out be monitored and that the process of completing the facilities be accelerated.
