The Bishkek Thermal Power Plant has more than 250 tonnes of coal in reserve

Mayor Aibek Junushaliyev held an off-site meeting at the municipal enterprise ‘Bishkek Thermal Power Plant’ on the progress of preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026, and observed the preventive maintenance and repair work being carried out at the thermal power plant.

The director of the enterprise, Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, said that as of today, there are more than 250,000 tonnes of coal in reserve.

He reported that scheduled preventive maintenance is being carried out on seven boiler units and two turbine units, as well as repair work on main and auxiliary equipment.

The mayor instructed that the work be carried out promptly, paying particular attention to the quality of materials and work, safety and durability.

In addition, the director of the municipal enterprise Bishkekteploset was tasked with ensuring that hot water is supplied to residents in a timely manner.

The mayor then visited the intersection of Akhunbaeva and Dostoevsky streets, where there are plans to build a new road, which will be a continuation of Akhunbaeva Street from Dostoevsky Street to Auezov Street, with a total length of 4.2 kilometres.

The relevant services have been instructed to complete the design and estimate documentation as soon as possible, start road construction work and dismantle objects that hinder the construction of the road.

To avoid problems with the supply of irrigation water to the city, Aibek Dzhnushaliyev inspected the condition of the Alamudun, Verkhniy Ala-Archinskiy and Chon-Arykskiy reservoirs. Appropriate instructions were given on site for cleaning, improvement and repair work on reservoirs and canals.
