During the event, Mayor Aibek Junushaliyev presented the tasks of the mayor's office for 2025. Junushaliev noted that Bishkek is actively developing and its population is constantly growing. In this regard, there are new tasks and challenges that need to be addressed. The year 2025 will be a key period for significant change and innovation in the city. The main goal is to transform Bishkek into a modern, beautiful, safe and comfortable metropolis that its residents can be proud of.
In order to achieve these goals, the main directions of development have been defined, and an action plan of the Mayor's Office, including 9 main directions and 100 specific activities, has been adopted. The main task remains the increase of local budget revenues and effective achievement of the set goals. According to the Mayor, the potential of the capital is huge, and it should be realised to the maximum. Last year was successful - the budget was overfulfilled by more than 100%, which allowed to solve many urgent issues and implement major projects.
For 2025 the task is set to continue improving these indicators. Among the key tasks for the city are the reduction of traffic jams, development of road infrastructure, introduction of urban innovations, improvement of the environmental situation and creation of a sustainable urban ecosystem. Emphasis is also placed on improving housing and communal services and building social facilities.
An important part of the plan is to address problems related to chaotic development, unplanned trade and social protection.
