Speaking at the launch ceremony, the minister noted that the number of electricity consumers in the country is increasing every year, which requires a consistent increase in generation and an increase in the capacity of the power system.
"In 2025, a number of substations were built, large hydroelectric power plants were reconstructed, and small hydroelectric power plants and solar power plants were commissioned. The number of electricity consumers is growing every year. Large residential complexes and factories are being built. In this regard, increasing generation is a requirement of today. Therefore, each substation put into operation plays an important role in providing the population with electricity,‘ emphasised T. Ibraev.
The project was implemented through the joint efforts of JSC ’National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan" and the Batken City Hall. The total cost of construction was 55 million 758 thousand KGS. Of this amount, 19 million 958 thousand KGS were allocated for the purchase of additional materials, and 35 million 800 thousand KGS were allocated for the purchase of equipment at the expense of the city council. Construction and installation work was carried out by the Batken enterprise.
