The Ministry of Economy held a meeting with representatives of Riha following the company's statement

On 21 January 2026, the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic held a working meeting with representatives of Riha LLC, the Technical Regulation and Metrology Department, and the Halal Industry Development Centre. The purpose of the meeting was to clarify the requirements of the Law ‘On the Halal Industry,’ licensing and certification procedures for products according to the standards of the Eurasian Economic Union and halal.

The participants paid particular attention to last year's discovery of pork DNA in Riha LLC products. In December 2025, the company, together with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan and the State Agency ‘Centre for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise’, held a meeting, after which measures were taken to eliminate the violations. Repeated laboratory tests in January 2026 did not reveal any pork DNA.

The parties confirmed the need for further cooperation in promoting domestic products and noted that all issues arising are resolved within the legal framework.

As Akchabar wrote, previously, Riha LLC had not received any official notifications, letters, orders or decisions from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce or other authorised bodies regarding the revocation of permits, identified violations or restrictions on the company's activities.
