The Ministry of Finance and the EEC discussed the development of public procurement within the EAEU

Finance Minister Ruslan Suynaliev held a meeting with Maxim Yermolovich, a member of the Executive Board and Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the field of public procurement, improving the relevant legal frameworks, introducing digital solutions and the mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures.

The parties also discussed improving the regulatory framework governing public procurement within the EAEU, clarifying the procedure for applying the electronic auction mechanism, and the possibilities for procuring medicines through specialised international organisations.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their interest in further developing cooperation, continuing joint work and developing a common market for public (municipal) procurement within the Eurasian Economic Union.
