New children’s play areas and sports facilities are to be built in the Tunguch neighbourhood of Bishkek at a cost of nearly 10.3 million KGS

Plans are in place to improve the courtyards in the Tunguch housing estate in Bishkek by installing new children’s play areas and sports facilities. Municipal Territorial Administration No. 6 of the Oktyabrsky District Administration has announced a tender for this project.

The estimated cost of the procurement is 10,311,841 KGS. The contractor will be required to carry out the work at six sites within 30 working days of the contract being signed.

The project involves:

  • the construction of a basketball and volleyball court in the courtyard of blocks No. 1 and No. 3 (970,800 KGS);
  • the construction of a children’s playground near blocks No. 17 and No. 19 (1.51 million KGS);
  • the development of a children’s playground near blocks No. 60 and No. 61 (1.74 million KGS);
  • the construction of a children’s playground in the courtyard of building No. 75 (2.07 million KGS);
  • the development of a children’s playground near building No. 76 (1.6 million KGS);
  • the construction of a children’s playground in the courtyard of buildings No. 78 and No. 79 (2.43 million KGS).

Tender applications will be accepted until 19 August 2026. The procurement will be conducted as an open, two-stage tender with standard evaluation of bids.

The project aims to create modern and safe public spaces for children to play and for residents of the neighbourhood to engage in sporting activities.
