Kazakhstan's Ministry of Finance plans to borrow over $1 billion in March

In March 2026, the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan intends to hold a series of auctions to place government securities worth $1.1 billion (550 billion tenge). This was reported by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.

The placement will take place in four stages—March 3, 10, 17, and 25. As part of the auctions, investors will be offered government bonds with maturities ranging from 1 to 11 years.

The largest volume of placement is planned for annual bonds — $201.8 million, as well as for securities with a maturity of 8 years — $222.03 million. In addition, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to offer:

  • 11-year bonds worth $100.9 million;
  • 7-year bonds worth $80.7 million;
  • 6-year bonds worth $141.3 million;
  • 5-year bonds worth $80.7 million;
  • 4-year bonds worth $80.7 million;
  • 3-year bonds worth $100.9 million;
  • 2-year bonds — $100.9 million.

The largest placements are expected on March 3 and 10, when the volume of securities offered will amount to $322.95 million. Another $201.8 million is planned to be placed on March 17 and $262.4 million on March 25.
