The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan has transferred its stake in NESK to the Ministry of Energy

There have been changes in the shareholder structure of the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan (NESG). Specifically, the Ministry of Finance has transferred its stake in the company to the Ministry of Energy.

According to disclosed information, the Ministry of Finance has completely withdrawn from the list of shareholders. Previously, the ministry owned 3.095 billion shares, or 6.34% of the authorized capital. The stake was valued at 5.12 billion KGS. Following the transaction, the ministry no longer holds any shares in the company.

The corresponding stake of the same size—3.095 billion shares (6.34%)—was transferred to the Ministry of Energy, which previously did not hold any shares in NESK.

The changes took effect on April 23, 2026.

Thus, the state’s stake in the company remained unchanged, but it was redistributed among government agencies.
