The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan plans to raise additional funds on the domestic market by the end of the month through the issuance of government treasury bonds. The National Bank announced this on its website.

According to the regulator, the auction will take place on March 27, and the bond issuance date is set for March 30. The total planned borrowing will amount to 7.9 billion KGS.

Specifically, the Ministry of Finance intends to issue:

  • 3-year bonds worth 6.7 billion KGS with a coupon rate of 12.86%;
  • 5-year bonds worth 1.2 billion KGS with a coupon rate of 6%.

It should be noted that since the beginning of March, the Ministry of Finance has already borrowed 64.139 billion KGS on the domestic market through the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan’s trading platform. This amounts to 97.5% of the announced volume (or 1.661 billion KGS less).
