11/08/2024, 13:24The Kyrgyz Ministry of Finance has revised the republican budget for 2024 and increased expenditures. The total spending will amount to 518.8 billion KGS now, which is 69.6 billion more than initially planned. The Ministry's data indicate this.
Note the expenditures of the treasury are estimated at 36.7% of the country's GDP.
The increase in spending affected the main budget items, including the financing of state bodies. However, spending on public investments, on the contrary, has been reduced by 10.4 billion KGS.
The authorities have stated their intention to optimise expenditures and improve the efficiency of budgetary funds. The priority remains the fulfilment of the state's social obligations. For example, salaries for healthcare workers and social institutions have been raised from 1 July and 1 September.
In addition, the budget adjustment also includes changes in the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers aimed at optimising the state apparatus.
