09/25/2026, 17:45Following the auction on 25 September, the yield on ten-year government treasury bonds stood at 16 per cent, the National Bank reported. At the previous auction, on 18 September, the yield on these securities was the same.
An issue worth 350 million KGS with a coupon rate of 8 per cent per annum was offered for sale. The issue date is 28 September, and the maturity date is the same date but in 2036. Coupons will be paid twice a year – on 28 March and 28 September.
The Ministry of Finance has not yet published data on the actual volume of the placement. However, the difference between the 8 per cent coupon rate and the 16 per cent yield indicates that the bonds were sold at a discount.
It should be noted that as at 24 September, prior to the placement of the new issue, the Ministry of Finance’s liabilities on ten-year bonds were estimated at 62.46 billion KGS.
