Minister of Health inspects medical organizations

Minister of Health Damirbek Osmonov visited a number of healthcare organizations in Bishkek, where he familiarized himself with the conditions of medical care, the state of infrastructure, and the implementation of current tasks.

At the National Hospital, the minister inspected the emergency department, as well as facilities undergoing renovation.

According to the chief physician of the National Hospital, Bakyt Tologonov, the renovation of the intensive care unit is currently being completed, and the renovation of the building for the reference laboratory is planned to be completed by the end of April.

The project to create a reference laboratory is being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank and provides for the formation of a centralized laboratory base for hospitals in the city of Bishkek. The National Hospital will conduct laboratory tests for city hospitals in a centralized manner, which will improve the quality of diagnostics and introduce uniform testing standards. The project is being implemented over the course of a year. After the renovation work is completed, equipment will be installed, staff training will be organized, and the laboratory will begin full-scale operation.

The minister also familiarized himself with the activities of the central emergency department, which has been operating for more than a year and a half and has already proven its usefulness. At the same time, specific areas for further strengthening its work have been identified: the creation of a shock room, the re-equipping of departments, and the organization of continuous ECG monitoring of patients in intensive care.

He also visited the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction, where the management of the institution presented information on current activities, available resources, and existing challenges in the field of reproductive health.

Following the visit, the minister instructed the management of the Reproduction Center to prepare practical proposals aimed at improving indicators in the field of maternal health and strengthening the scientific potential of the center.
