08/02/2025, 18:10The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration has reported an increase in the number of citizens covered by active labour market measures.
In 2025, 5,738 people will be assigned to paid public works, which is 21% more than last year. Of these, 86 people are serving remote areas, 667 are working in agriculture, 797 are working in the social sector, 3,445 are working in infrastructure, and the rest are working in other areas.
A total of 1,846 low-income families participated in the ‘Products for Labour’ programme, and 896 families participated in the ‘Cash for Work (Training)’ scheme.
Taking into account the needs of the labour market, 3,824 people were sent to short-term courses, of whom 60.5% found employment in their chosen field.
Career guidance centres and regional departments of the Ministry provided career guidance to 40,404 citizens, including 23,805 schoolchildren and graduates, as well as 16,599 unemployed people without vocational education.
