10/26/2026, 14:30Renovation work is continuing at the Lebedinovskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant. As part of the work, the plant’s hydroelectric units, power transformers, electrical equipment, and piping have been dismantled.
Some of the equipment is planned to be reused at other hydroelectric power plants operated by OJSC “Chakan HPP.”
The project is being funded by loans and grants from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The contractor is the Chinese company China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC).
Following the reconstruction, the plant’s installed capacity is scheduled to increase from 7.6 to 10 MW.
