Furnaces at the “Asia Steel” plant in Kara-Balta Have Been Temporarily Shut Down

Operations at the furnaces of the “Asia Steel” plant in Kara-Balta have been temporarily suspended following the discovery of violations of environmental regulations. The Environmental and Technical Supervision Service conducted inspections of four facilities after receiving reports from residents about possible air pollution.

Asia Steel is also being investigated regarding issues related to its permits. Illegal disposal of industrial waste was discovered in the area.

An inspection of the Ihsan Group facility revealed that it has not been operating for about a year. No emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere were detected at the Kara-Baltinskaya Shoe Factory; however, representatives were issued warnings regarding compliance with environmental requirements.

At the “SU-4” asphalt concrete plant, equipment is being inspected and laboratory tests are being conducted. A final conclusion will be prepared after the test results are received and the permits are reviewed.
