The 100-kilometer-long highway starts in the village of Ala-Buka, passes through the settlements of Kyzyl-Tokoi and Terek-Sai in Chatkal district, crosses the Chapchyma Pass and stretches to the site “Ters” near the village of Kurulush. The cost of the project exceeds 4 billion soms. Today, asphalt paving has been completed on 48 km, the remaining part will be completed by the end of the year.
"If in 2020 the country's budget was only 240 billion soms, this year it reached 704 billion soms. Next year we plan to approve a budget of over 800 billion soms. This will make it possible to implement infrastructure projects, raise pensions, benefits and salaries. But this is only the beginning. After the completion of this section, we will start work on other important roads," Toraga said.
He also emphasized the need for effective and transparent distribution of revenues from subsoil development, especially in areas with harsh conditions, such as Chatkal. Special attention, he said, should be paid to environmental standards and safety.
