Amid a decline in the overall volume of remittances: remittances from the US rose by 95%

Between January and July 2026, Kyrgyzstan received $93.6 million in remittances from the US. A year earlier, during the same period, the figure stood at around $47.9 million.

The volume of remittances from the US rose by approximately 95 per cent. At the same time, the total inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan over the seven-month period actually fell.

The US became the largest source of remittances among countries outside the former Soviet Union.

Between January and July 2025, approximately $48 million was received from the US.
