Meat prices were checked once again at the Orto-Sai market

Another raid to control meat prices took place in the Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek.
The raid was attended by employees of the Oktyabrsky District Administration, the municipal inspection of the Bishkek City Hall, the Oktyabrsky District Internal Affairs Department, and MTU No. 403.

During the event, meat sellers at the Orto-Sai market were explained the procedure for state regulation of prices for socially significant food products and reminded that the retail price for beef on the bone should not exceed 680 soms per kilogram.

The sellers reported that they purchase beef wholesale at a price of 690-700 KGS and lamb at 750 KGS per kilogram, noting that they are experiencing difficulties in selling meat at the established retail price. In this regard, the issue of the need to regulate prices on the part of wholesale meat suppliers was raised.

During the raid, the absence of price tags and the sale of products at prices above the established limit were identified. Explanatory work was carried out with the sellers. Earlier, three reports were drawn up for a total amount of 29,000 KGS for violations of price requirements in the market.

In addition, a fine was imposed on the Ustukan store, located at 35/1 Karagula Akmat Street, for violating price regulation rules.
