09/02/2026, 14:15Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan have signed a transit trade agreement. It is expected to simplify the transportation of goods between the two countries.
Medicines are already among the main goods that Kyrgyzstan purchases from Pakistan. In the first half of 2026, Kyrgyzstan imported more than $3 million worth of Pakistani medicines.
Once trade and logistics procedures are streamlined, it will be easier for Pakistani companies to supply medicines to Kyrgyzstan. As a result, more medicines from Pakistan may appear in pharmacies.
In 2025, trade between the two countries totaled $16 million. From January through May 2026, it reached $5.2 million. Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan plan to increase this figure to $200 million by 2030.
In addition, the countries have agreed to cooperate in the areas of e-commerce, medical education, science, and technology.
