05/25/2026, 11:14Finance Minister Ruslan Suynaliev announced the allocation of billions of som to the regions for social infrastructure and preparations for SCO events. Separately, the authorities are arranging funding to address the aftermath of the mudslides.
During a staff meeting, the amounts allocated from the national budget to local authorities were announced.
According to Ruslan Suynaliev, Karakol received 679 million KGS for social infrastructure. Talas was allocated 1.09 billion KGS.
A further 1.078 billion KGS was allocated to Cholpon-Ata for preparations for events within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The Minister also spoke about funding for the clean-up following the mudslides. He said that around 300 million KGS are earmarked for this purpose each year, but the authorities are prepared to allocate additional funds if necessary.
“A draft order will be submitted today, and once approved, the funds will be allocated,” the Finance Minister said.
