According to him, work worth over 1 billion 18 million KGS has been carried out in the irrigation sector. The ‘Tugol-Sai’ reservoir is scheduled to be commissioned this year. Once the facility is operational, it will improve the water supply to 3,208 hectares of farmland and open up the possibility of developing a further 1,500 hectares of new land.
The Head of State also spoke about developments in the social sector. Since April this year, healthcare workers’ salaries have been increased by 100 per cent. Over the past five years, three family doctor centres and two support facilities have been built in the district, and four medical facilities have undergone major refurbishment. In addition, ultrasound scanners, an ENT unit, X-ray equipment and five ambulances have been purchased.
In the field of education, seven schools and two nurseries have been built in the Zhumgal District since 2020. Furthermore, 445 teachers have been provided with laptops.
The President noted that infrastructure projects will continue to be implemented in the district in the coming years. In particular, there are plans to reconstruct a seven-kilometre stretch of road on the main street of the village of Chaek, laying a four-lane asphalt surface. Furthermore, construction has begun on a new public service centre, and specialist equipment worth 30 million KGS is being purchased for the district using funds from the Presidential Fund.
