477 million KGS have been allocated for the renovation of the boarding school in Karakol

The Toktogul Satyganov Regional Boarding School in Issyk-Kul is undergoing a major refurbishment. The work is being funded from the national budget, with the total cost of the project amounting to 477 million KGS.

Demolition work at the site has now been completed, and roofing and finishing works are in full swing.

The boarding school has a total area of 10,650 square metres and comprises three buildings. The building was constructed in 1963 and has a capacity of 800 pupils. No major refurbishment has been carried out since it was first commissioned.

As part of the major refurbishment, the building’s internal and external architectural appearance will be completely renovated, and the engineering systems will be modernised. In addition, the classrooms, computer room and assembly hall will be brought up to modern standards.

The major refurbishment works are being overseen by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services.
