06/13/2026, 18:01Ilich Marsbek uulu, First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, conducted an inspection at the Ak-Sai wholesale food market on behalf of the minister.
During the inspection, he familiarized himself with the operation of temporary trading areas organized for farmers and assessed the conditions created for the sale of agricultural products. Particular attention was paid to compliance with sanitary standards and ensuring comfortable conditions for sellers.
In addition, the market’s laboratory was inspected. As part of food safety monitoring, specialists tested watermelons for nitrate content. According to the results of laboratory analyses, no exceedances of permissible limits were detected.
Based on the monitoring results, relevant agencies were instructed to strengthen oversight of compliance with phytosanitary and sanitary requirements to ensure food safety and protect public health.
The ministry also noted that, at the direction of senior management, similar monitoring activities are being conducted in all regions of the country at food and livestock markets. The inspections are aimed at ensuring the quality of agricultural products and compliance with veterinary, phytosanitary, and sanitary requirements. Monitoring efforts will continue on an ongoing basis.
