06/14/2026, 14:47Today, June 14, Osh Mayor Zhanarbek Akayev inspected the progress of construction on a modern plant for processing solid municipal waste and generating electricity.
Construction work is being carried out by the Chinese company Junxin Huanbao KG Invest. During his visit to the site, the mayor met with company representatives and instructed them to accelerate the pace of construction and ensure the project is completed on schedule.
According to the mayor, all issues arising during the project’s implementation will be promptly addressed and resolved by the municipality.
Once operational, the plant will be able to process up to 310,000 tons of waste per year and generate electricity. It is noted that the project complies with modern environmental standards and will not have a negative impact on the environment.
The project’s implementation will improve waste management efficiency, enhance the city’s environmental conditions, and create additional opportunities for electricity generation. The project is being funded by the republican budget. The contractor is Export Plus LLC.
