Excise stamps on goods were checked at the market in Osh

The head of the tax service, Almamet Shykmamatov, conducted a raid to check excise stamps at the market in the city of Osh.

The raid was attended by the president's chief of staff, Kanybek Tumanbayev, and the mayor of Osh, Zhenishbek Toktorbayev.

During the event, Almamet Shykmamatov walked through the shopping rows of the new market in Osh, inspected the points of sale and familiarised himself with the range of goods, paying attention to the presence of excise stamps in accordance with the law.

The Chairman of the Tax Service paid particular attention to verifying the authenticity and identifying counterfeit excise stamps on alcoholic and sugar-containing products, emphasising that excise products provide tax revenues and protect the health of the population from poor-quality products.

«The Tax Service strictly controls the use of excise-marked products by importers and manufacturers. As a result, tax revenues are growing year after year», — said Almambet Shykmamatov.

The market inspections revealed violations of tax legislation related to excise stamps. Some beverages containing sugar did not have excise stamps. Measures provided for by law were applied to the violators.

Within the city limits, at one of the wholesale outlets selling soft drinks, excise stamps were also found to be inconsistent with the established samples. As a result of the violations identified, the products were withdrawn from circulation.

The tax service continues to conduct raids on the labelling of excise goods at large retail outlets in the regions of the country. The aim is to draw the public's attention to this issue and to convey to entrepreneurs the importance of using excise stamps.
