The Bishkek thermal power plant has accumulated one-sixth of the coal needed for the heating season

The capital's thermal power plant warehouses hold 243,650 tons of coal reserves. Although city officials assure that this amount is sufficient for uninterrupted operation at this stage, it seems modest in terms of the entire heating season.

The thermal power plant will need 1.4 million tons of coal to get through the fall-winter season of 2025-2026. This means that current reserves are about 17% of the required volume, or roughly one-sixth.

The municipality notes that deliveries are continuing as planned according to the approved schedule and will continue until the end of the heating season.
