11/25/2025, 10:14The Kyrgyz Geological Service has announced another series of auctions for subsoil use rights, this time focusing on five plots in the Jalal-Abad region. These plots contain deposits of shell limestone, gypsum and limestone. The auctions are scheduled for 27 November for the Tash-Kumyr 1 and 2 sites and 28 November for the Changyrtash sites.
The Tash-Kumyr 1 and Tash-Kumyr 2 sites, both located in the Aksy district, will go under the hammer. They have similar geology. The coloured limestones — ranging from white to cream-burgundy — hold their polish well and are suitable for facing products. The starting prices are $8,250 (Tash-Kumyr 1) and $8,235 (Tash-Kumyr 2).
Nearby, in the Suzak district, three plots are up for sale:
All three sites are described as high plateaus without water sources, with a harsh continental climate, stones with stable decorative properties and reserves confirmed until 2025.
Those who intend to compete for the sites must submit a complete set of documents to the Department of Geology by the evening of 19 November. As noted in the documents, the procedure is standard: a guarantee deposit, information about beneficiaries, technical documentation — all in accordance with the Regulations on the Procedure for Licensing Subsurface Use. Submission of an application is automatically considered as acceptance of all conditions.
We would like to add that against the backdrop of growing domestic demand and a number of state infrastructure projects, such plots are becoming a long-term bet for companies, as they provide the building materials market with several types of raw materials that are in demand in construction and decorative cladding.
