07/07/2025, 10:58Road reconstruction continues on the Korumdu-Balbay-Baaty section in the Issyk-Kul region. Work is underway to prepare the foundation, lay asphalt, install drainage pipes and build bridges.
Since the beginning of the season, 50 kilometres of road have already been asphalted on one side. The section runs through 17 settlements, and all safety requirements are being met — signs have been installed, markings have been applied, and the road surface is regularly levelled with graders and watered using specialised equipment.
In addition, there are plans to build 14 bridges, 877 culverts, cycle paths, pavements and widen the road to four lanes. Lighting, landscaping, bus stops and rest areas with car parks are also planned.
