05/06/2025, 12:25Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, during a working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, met with delegates of the Third People's Kurultai who raised questions in the field of agriculture and held a meeting to resolve the issues they raised on the ground.
The meeting was attended by regional leaders, representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, district akims, farmers and Kurultai delegates. The event discussed issues related to providing settlements with clean water, improving irrigation systems, developing the processing industry, using pastures, creating trade and logistics centres, increasing exports, preferential loans and veterinary services, with particular attention paid to solving local problems.
In the Issyk-Kul region, the Third Kurultai raised issues related to agriculture. The main focus was on irrigation and clean water supply. Issues related to the construction and repair of water supply and sewerage systems in the BDR and BSR regions and clean water were also discussed.
During the meeting, Minister Bakyt Torobaev noted that, as part of the implementation of the President's instructions aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex, systematic changes are taking place as a result of efforts to bring agriculture up to modern standards. During the meeting, tasks were identified that need to be carried out on each of the issues raised, instructions were given to the heads of the relevant state bodies in the regions, and specific decisions were taken.
Earlier, similar meetings were held in the Batken, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn and Chui regions.
