12.3 billion soms allocated from the state budget for the restoration of irrigation facilities

This year, 12.3 billion KGS have been allocated from the state budget for the restoration and repair of irrigation facilities. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

These funds are planned to be used for the repair and cleaning of 776 kilometers of canals, the concreting of 657,400 square meters (112.6 kilometers) of canals, the repair and restoration of 590 hydraulic structures, the repair of 508 water measuring stations, repair and restoration of 91 pumping stations and 170 pumping units, and renewal of 46 pumping units. It will also be used to install 1,500 electronic water gauges and clean 225 kilometers of the collector-drainage system.

In 2025, 15,051 wells were registered in the republic, 308 wells were inspected, and 50 of them were put into operation. In 2026, according to the plan, 83 wells are scheduled to be put into operation.

To prepare water management facilities for the 2026 irrigation season, it is planned to involve 203 units of equipment from the Water Resources Service and about 1,000 units of equipment from local ayyl okmotu.
