In addition to the main crops, work is being carried out in the Batken and Kadamzhai districts to grow citrus seedlings in order to develop new phytotechnologies. As a result, mandarins, oranges, lemons, and kumquats have been grown.
While in 2024, 4,839 tons of produce were produced from 1,058 hectares, in 2025, 7,149 tons of subtropical produce were obtained from 1,056 hectares. Citrus production is growing every year.
In addition, in the Ak-Talinsky district of the Naryn region, 20 hectares of rain-fed land were used to test the Yershovsky variety of oil-bearing safflower, which yielded 20 centners per hectare. Work is underway in the regions of the country to distribute the Sudan hybrid sorghum.
In addition, the republic will need 69,000 tons of grain seeds in 2026. To date, 57,000 tons have been harvested, which is 82.5% of the total requirement.
The supply of oats, rice, tobacco, legumes, and soybean seeds is 100%. The shortfall will be made up by subsidies and seeds sold by seed farms.
