A major project to provide farmers with irrigation water is planned in the Batken district

A large-scale project for drip irrigation of 500 hectares of land is planned in the village of Kyzyl-Bel in the Batken district.

As part of the project, a 13.4-kilometre water pipeline will be laid from the main canal in the city of Batken, and a 10,000-cubic-metre reservoir will be built. The total estimated cost of the project is 177.5 million soms. The work is scheduled for completion in November 2026.

After the project is implemented, farmers will have a steady supply of irrigation water, which will increase crop yields and incomes. Conditions will be created for the cultivation of fruit orchards and the revitalisation of cooperatives.

Stable jobs will appear in the region and the quality of life will improve. Water resources will be used rationally and modern agricultural technologies will be introduced. Additional revenues will be received by the state and regional budgets.

This large-scale project in the village of Kyzyl-Bel is an important step towards a new level of agricultural development. The drip irrigation system covering an area of 500 hectares will become a sustainable source of income for local residents and will make a significant contribution to the economic development of the region and the country as a whole.
