Tax revenue from virtual asset service providers in Kyrgyzstan has increased nearly 20-fold over two years

Tax revenue from virtual asset service providers in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.48 billion KGS in 2025. These figures were revealed during a meeting of the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies.

By way of comparison, in 2023, virtual asset service providers paid 73.1 million KGS in taxes to the budget, and in 2024, 125 million KGS. Thus, over two years, tax revenue increased approximately twenty-fold.

Separately, data on mining was presented at the meeting. In 2025, miners paid 206.17 million KGS in taxes to the budget.

Consequently, from these two sectors alone – virtual asset service providers and mining – the budget received around 1.69 billion KGS in tax revenue in 2025. The figures show that the development of digital assets is already delivering not only technological benefits but also direct fiscal benefits to Kyrgyzstan.
