Tax revenues from the garment industry amounted to 106.5 mln KGS

The State Tax Service reports that for January-April 2025, tax revenues from the garment industry amounted to 106.5 million KGS.

Tax revenues for the last four years demonstrate a steady positive dynamics in this sector of light industry. In particular, the volume of taxes paid by enterprises of the garment industry to the state budget amounted to: in 2020 - 58.5 million KGS; in 2021 - 81.2 million KGS; in 2022 - 120 million KGS; in 2023 - 169 million KGS.

At the same time, in 2024 tax revenues from this industry increased 1.5 times compared to 2023, reaching 255.2 million KGS.

The garment industry remains one of the most actively developing sectors of the Kyrgyz economy. The sector provides a significant number of jobs and makes a significant contribution to the formation of the budget and the development of the economy as a whole.
