The Naryn district produces almost a quarter of the total meat in the region

In five months, the Naryn region produced 22.4 thousand tonnes of meat in live weight. This is 1.1% more than in the same period last year. The growth was insignificant but stable, +254 tonnes compared to January-May 2024.

The Naryn district showed the highest production volumes. It produced 5.2 thousand tonnes of meat, which is almost a quarter of the region's total. Compared to last year, the figure increased by more than 20 tonnes.

At the same time, the largest increase was recorded in the Ak-Talyinsky district. Here, production grew by 94 tonnes, from 3,300 to 3,400 tonnes, which corresponds to an increase of 2.9%. In other districts of the region, the figures also remained stable, with the Dzhumghalsky district showing an increase of 32 tonnes, At-Bashinsky – by 77 tonnes, and Kochkor district – by 29 tonnes.

In terms of production structure, the main volume of meat still comes from peasant farms. In the first five months of this year, they produced 20.2 thousand tonnes of meat, while the population accounted for just over 2.1 thousand tonnes. Thus, the population's contribution to total production remains relatively modest, accounting for about 10% of the region's total.

At the same time, the population is most actively engaged in livestock farming in the Dzhumgala district, producing 590 tonnes of meat.
