09/02/2026, 17:34Naryn will need around 25,000 tonnes of coal for the 2026/27 heating season. Fuel deliveries to the city have now begun, according to the city council.
According to Naryn City Council, the state-owned enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Komur’ and four private contractors have signed contracts for the supply and sale of coal in the city. Work on delivering the fuel has already begun.
In preparation for winter, Naryn City Council has set up four municipal coal depots where fuel stocks will be maintained.
In addition, a further 15,000 tonnes of coal are planned to be delivered to the municipal enterprise ‘Jyluuluk Beruu’.
As part of preparations for the heating season, work is also underway to repair boiler houses and heating networks. To ensure an uninterrupted supply of heat, the installation of alternative heat pumps is being considered.
