National Bank prepares new collector coin for World Nomad Games

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has announced a competition among artists and designers to create sketches for collector coins for 2026. One of them will be dedicated to the traditional dog races ‘Taigan Zharysh’, which are part of the World Nomad Games programme.

The obverse of the coin will feature the official logo of the Games, the main motif, the denomination of 10 KGS, and the inscription ‘Taigan Zharysh’ / ‘Taigan Zharysh’. The reverse will feature a continuation of the composition, the state emblem, the date of issue ‘2026’ and the inscription ‘Дүйнөлүк көчмөндөр оюндары’ / ‘World Nomad Games’.

According to the terms of the competition, the metal and fineness (Ag 925) and weight of the coin (28.28 g) can be applied to either side of the coin.

Artists must submit their sketches in printed and electronic form by 17 November 2025. The winning design will become part of the National Bank's new collectible series.
