The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan kept the discount rate at 9%

On 27 January 2025, the National Bank left the discount rate at 9%. The decision comes into force on 28 January.

Inflation in the country remains within the target values (5-7%). In December 2024, it was 6.3%, and by mid-January 2025 - 6.%. The economy of Kyrgyzstan in 2024 grew by 9%, the main drivers of growth are services and construction. Growth in household incomes, remittances and consumer lending have a positive impact.

Monetary policy promotes stability in the money and currency markets. Despite the uncertainty of the external economic situation, the National Bank continues to maintain price stability and is ready to revise its policy if necessary.

The next discount rate meeting will be held on 24 February 2025.
